President’s Letter: The Latest on AUGI Programs

March finds us still progressing with the continuation of our programs. Here are some highlights.

AUGI Wish List - We just finished the AUGI Wish List process, where you indicate to Autodesk what tools and modifications you want to see in future releases. Your votes to rank the top 10 wishes will communicate directly to the developers of the programs you use every day. Votes will be tabulated and presented to Autodesk soon.

AUGI CAD Camp - This area continues to be a challenge to define the correct blend of agreements with all parties involved. The economic impact is placing a strain on our current model and we are rethinking how to best bundle the offering so that we can move forward. It is taking longer than we expected to finalize this area. We know that many of you are waiting to see a schedule of the events. We are still working on getting the foundation in place so we can move forward. We ask you to bear with us in this process.

AUGI Website - Our most hit pages on the website for the last month were… AUGIWORLD – February Issue, the AutoCAD Wish List Ballot, AUGI HotNews – February edition, and the AUGI e-Learning Page. The "Join AUGI" page was the next most-viewed page on the site. Traffic trends show that since the first of the year we have increased traffic by 19 percent overall. Since this time last year, we have increased site traffic by more than 40 percent.

AUGI Forums - our most hit locations for the last month were… The Revit Forums (General), Revit Architectural Forums, Coffee Without CAD, AutoLISP, Revit MEP, and Revit – Out There.

AUGIWORLD - We published the January/February issue in electronic form only. We've noticed that more and more publications are moving toward electronic distribution as opposed to hard copy. We are reviewing the options for a printed magazine, but would like to know what you think. Please let us know via this forum post and Poll.

ATP - The AUGI Training Program has started another round of training. Seven courses are available on the site for your enrollment. Take advantage of these free suppplemental training opportunities.

A New publication, AUGI AEC Edge - We are still dedicated to hard copy publishing because we are pursuing a new publication for the AEC Industry. It is dedicated to those who work in Architecture, Engineering, Civil, and Construction industries as they work in the facilities and built environment. Look for more information on this as the publication date grows near.
