With the introduction of three new HP ZBook Mobile Workstations to HP’s portfolio of professional workstations, users of Autodesk® applications now have the performance, reliability, and mobility they need in systems that are engineered to meet their demanding mission-critical operations.
The HP ZBook 14 Mobile Workstation, HP ZBook 15 Mobile Workstation, and HP ZBook 17 Mobile Workstation each feature a new thinner and lighter industrial design that still provides the durability needed when taking your work on the road. The tool-free chassis in these systems also enables easy upgrades and serviceability that reduce downtime.
The world’s first mobile workstation Ultrabook™, the HP ZBook 14 redefines mobile computing.(1) HP’s thinnest and lightest mobile workstation, it features the latest 4th generation Intel® Core™ i7 and Intel® Core™ i5 processors(2), as well as AMD FirePro™ professional graphics that are tuned to provide outstanding performance for many major CAD and digital media applications. In addition, AMD Eyefinity Technology increases productivity by allowing you to run multiple display configurations with a single graphics card.(3) The HP ZBook 14 also comes with an optional 10-point multi-touch screen that allows you to navigate designs, pan and zoom photos, or touch your technical applications with the swipe of a finger.
The HP ZBook 15 and HP ZBook 17 are designed to deliver the power that Autodesk applications require. They feature the latest 4th generation Intel® Core™ i7 and Intel® Core™ i5 processors, as well as storage expandability that allows you to keep large files at your fingertips without sacrificing performance. The HP ZBook 15 supports up to 1.8 TB of storage(4) and up to 32 GB of memory,(5) while the HP ZBook 17 supports up to 2.75 TB of storage and up to 32 GB of memory.
These workstations come with next-generation graphics technologies, including the newly announced Kepler-based professional graphics from NVIDIA, that are fully certified and optimized to run applications like AutoCAD. These graphics cards include the Quadro K610M, Quadro K1100M, and Quadro K2100M in the HP ZBook 15; and the Quadro K610M, Quadro K3100M, and Quadro K4100M in the HP ZBook 17.
In addition, the HP ZBook 15 and HP ZBook 17 incorporate Intel Thunderbolt™ technology.(6) This technology enables high-speed data transfer between HP Z Workstations, high-resolution displays, and high-performance data devices over a single Thunderbolt cable.
With the HP ZBook 15 and HP ZBook 17, you can take advantage of the large GPU memory with fast bandwidth (up to 256-bit) for the display of complex models and scenes, as well as computation of large datasets. An optional HP DreamColor display allows you to maintain accurate, predictable colors that are consistent across your entire digital workflow. This is an important feature as you take your work from design to model to final production.
Like all HP Z Workstations, the three new HP ZBook Mobile Workstations also include personal productivity tools. HP Performance Advisor configures your system with updated settings and drivers to help maximize performance. HP Remote Graphics Software is a collaboration tool that allows you to consolidate workstation resources and utilize the power of servers and workstations back at the office—while connecting from any computer at any location via a standard Internet connection.

1. Not all configurations qualify as an Ultrabook.
2. Multi-Core is designed to improve performance of certain software products. Not all customers or software applications will necessarily benefit from use of this technology. 64-bit computing on Intel® architecture requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, operating system, device drivers, and applications enabled for Intel® 64 architecture. Processors will not operate (including 32-bit operation) without an Intel® 64 architecture-enabled BIOS. Performance will vary depending on your hardware and software configurations. Intel’s numbering is not a measurement of higher performance.
3. Requires AMD discrete graphics configuration. Total number of screens supported varies by model.
4. For hard drives, GB = 1 billion bytes. TB = 1 trillion bytes. Actual formatted capacity is less. Up to 16 GB (for Windows 7) of system and up to 30 GB (for Windows 8) disk is reserved for system recovery software.
5. Maximum memory capacities assume Windows 64-bit operating systems or Linux. With Windows 32-bit operating systems, memory above 3 GB may not all be available due to system resource requirements. Dual Channel is only supported when the system is configured with DDR2 symmetric memory (i.e. 2x256).
6. Thunderbolt is new technology. Install all the latest drivers for your Thunderbolt device before connecting to the Thunderbolt port. Thunderbolt cable and Thunderbolt device (sold separately) must be compatible with Windows.
